Veg Steamed Momos Recipe

posted 2023 Jul by

Momos are a typical street meal in northern India. They are also known as Dim Sum and are simply flour dumplings with delicious stuffing.
🔸️2 tbsp soy sauce
🔸️12 pieces mushroom morel
🔸️1 bunch cilantro
🔸️500 gm cabbage
🔸️500 gm tofu
🔸️2-inch ginger
🔸️1 cup of water
🔸️2 cup all-purpose flour
🔸️3 cloves garlic
🔸️2 medium onions

🔸️Step 1: Make the veggie stuffing
To make this unusual treat, first make the veggie filling. Finely chop the onion, garlic, ginger, mushroom, tofu, cabbage, and cilantro for this. After that, mix all of the veggies in a large bowl. Toss the veggies in the basin with the soy sauce to thoroughly combine them. Set away for later use.

🔸️Step 2: Make the dough
Make the dough for wrapping the momos next. Combine all-purpose flour and water in a mixing bowl. For a smooth dough, combine all of the ingredients. Cover and set aside the dough.

🔸️Step 3 Lay out the dough to make several small circles.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin (like for chapati). Roll the dough into a thin, but not too thin, sheet. Cut out little circles from this.

🔸️Step 4 Stuff the momos with the filling
Fill the centre on all of these rings with the vegetable filling you made in step 1. After that, begin forming little folds on the inside via your thumb and forefinger. Raise the sides of the rings and use a little water to glue them together. Ensure that the momos are precisely sealed.

🔸️Step 5: Serve the momos steamed
Finally, heat up a little water in a steamer. When the water is boiling, place the momos in the steamer. Let them alone for 15-20 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve with your favourite dip or chutney.
