The word ghee known as clarified butter is derived from the Sanskrit Language. It is widely used in cooking Indian meals. The brand Khannum has its mark since 1961. Its pure butter ghee consists of butterfat 99.8% (milk), moisture 0.19%. The Khanum pure butter ghee has a creamy texture and can be used as an alternative to oils. It is ideal for making sweets and daily cooking. A dollop of the pure butter ghee is rich in vitamin A which is beneficial to the eyes and also works as an antioxidant.
